Gwadar: According to a recent news report, the parliamentary committee on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has recommended expediting the process for the finishing of the new Gwadar International Airport and to avoid an unnecessary delay om the construction work either by China or Pakistan.

The group, which was chaired by Sher Ali Arbab, directed that institutional efforts be intensified so that the Chinese can be asked to reach the project’s deadlines. MNAs Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, Noor Alam Khan, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Zahid Akram Durrani, and Muhammad Aslam Bhootani were present at the conference.
The chairman claimed that the new airport was crucial for attracting investments and optimizing Gwadar’s strategic position.
The meeting was updated on the development of the New Gwadar International Airport, which, according to the chairman, would help in the successful operationalization of the Gwadar port if authorized promptly.

In addition to briefings on Gwadar Port Free Zone, East Bay Expressway, and Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute, the committee was briefed on various infrastructure, electricity, and socio-economic development projects for Gwadar under the CPEC system.
The Gwadar Free Zone Policy has been accepted, according to the meeting. The strategy would pave the way for further economic investment in Pakistan by offering potential incentives for imports and exports.
