Rawalpindi: According to a recent news report, the Rawalpindi Commissioner Mr. Muhammad Mehmood has stated that the land value of economic zones along the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) is seen to appreciate. The commissioner shared this information during a workshop held in Rawalpindi Arts Council with traders, transporters, and members of the business community in attendance.

The commissioner told the attendees that the project will transform Rawalpindi once it is completed (tentatively) in December 2023. He said that after the road is accessible to traffic, heavy vehicles would be prohibited from entering the area.

He also reported that the RRR would be divided into eight economic zones, with all wholesale markets, bus stops, warehouses, and factories being moved to the project corridor. The city’s roads would be less congested as a result of this. Members of the business sector will be able to buy land in these economic zones based on their desires, according to Mehmood. He said, “The government will ensure road access as well as water, gas, and electricity supply to these areas.”
