Turkey to fund urban transport and waste management ventures in Sindh

Karachi: In a piece of recent news reported on Friday the 15th of January, the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, recently announced the Turkish government’s decision to invest in urban transport and waste management proposals in Sindh.

During a reception hosted by Sindh’s Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah, the Foreign Minister expressed his views on the matter. Also attending the reception were provincial ministers. Chief secretaries and other concerned officials.

CM Murad invited Turkish investors to explore investment opportunities in renewable energy, coal mining, waste management, and urban transport in the province. He further stressed the need to exchange business delegations for promotion of bilateral ties.

In response, the Turkish minister reiterated his government’s commitment to working with the Government of Sindh; adding that investors from Turkey would visit the province to explore more investment opportunities.
