Tanda Dam being developed into tourist resort in Kohat District

Kohat: With the construction of the Tanda Dam and solarization of the 6km Allah Hu Trail, the provincial government and Pakistan Army’s 9 Division have begun promoting tourism in Kohat district through a joint venture.

Ziaullah Bangash, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology, visited Tanda Dam in Kohat and announced plans to build it for visitors and begin water sports activities.

During the visit, Ziaullah Bangash received a briefing on the progress made so far in providing facilities for the tourists and procurement of equipment including boats for water sports at Tanda Dam.

‘’This is a big project to promote tourism in Kohat, which is being launched under public-private partnership and it is the best gift from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government and Pakistan Army,” said Ziaullah Bangash.

He said the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the 9th Pakistan Army Division Kohat were collaborating to improve tourist facilities in Kohat and encourage tourism in the province.

Furthermore, Ziaullah Bangash praised the leaders of the Bustikhel tribe for donating land in the public interest so that residents in Kohat could enjoy a recreational area.
