Islamabad: according to a recent news report, some top Swedish investors have shown eagerness in wanting to invest in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project as well as Special Economic Zones (SEC) that are being developed under the economic corridor’s agenda.
The eagerness to invest was reached during a summit that was held between Swedish personages, including the Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan Henrik Persson, and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
During the summit, FPCCI Chairman Qurban Ali, Coordinator Capital House Mirza Abdur Reham, FPCCI former vice president Muhammad Ali Quaid, Hunza CCI President Mehboob Rabani, ICSTSI President Malik Zaheer, CCI Mandi Bahauddin President Haider Raza Naqvi and other concerned officials were also present.

According to details, the FPCCI chief Qurban Ali, highlighted the need to increase economic and trade relations and business-to-business connectivity between Pakistan and Sweden.
In response, Ambassador Persson announced his government’s intention to invest in Pakistan’s telecom, information technology (IT), renewable energy, education, academia, business development, and environmental protection sectors.
