Lakki Marwat: According to a recent news report, the administration of Lakki Marwat retrieved 14 Kanals of state land from illegal occupants during an anti-encroachment operation in Darra Pezu town here. The operation was launched on the directives of deputy commissioner Abdul Haseeb to clear the Peshawar-Karachi highway from encroachments.

Supervised by assistant commissioner Umer Bin Riaz and additional assistant commissioner Najibullah Khan the employees of tehsil municipal administration, the National Highway Authority (NHA) and the revenue department razed illegal constructions in Pezu Bazaar. Commercial land worth over Rs. 100 million was retrieved.
A police contingent also accompanied the anti-encroachment squad. Separately, the body of a young man was found in fields near Naurang town on Monday. Police said Mohammad Imran Khan, an electrician by profession, had left home in Naurang city on Sunday night.
The next morning his body was found in the fields. Noor Jamal, a brother of the deceased, told police that his family had no enmity with anyone. Also, two people, including a police constable, were killed in firing incidents in Bannu the other day.

Unknown motorcyclists attacked constable Naqeebullah near Bodinkhel, killing him on the spot. A young man was killed over a minor dispute in the Sikandarkhel Bala locality. The victim was identified as Abdul Rehman, 23, of Zakarkhel Surani.
