Rawalpindi: According to a recent news report, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has been tasked with overseeing the development of mega infrastructure projects including Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) and Leh Expressway.

The officials in question have also been advised to use all of their talents to improve their efficiency potential to finish the programme. According to sources, the RRR project has been authorised by the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA), and Prime Minister Imran Khan has given his approval to the Leh Expressway project.
A meeting of Planning and Development (P&D) was held in Lahore to this end, with Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance Dr Salaman Shah as the chairperson. The value of RDA in the efficient implementation of all public-private collaboration initiatives was addressed at the conference.

Furthermore, the meeting was told that land acquisition for Ring Road has been completed, as well as the clearing of the Right of Way (RoW). The land acquisition process for the Leh Expressway will begin after the RoW has been demarcated.
