Rawalpindi: According to a recent news report, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has asked the Islamabad Electric Supply Company, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), and the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) not to provide utility connections to any illegal housing scheme in the city.
Following action against two unauthorized residential developments in the area, the civic agency appealed. The RDA’s Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate was in charge of the crackdown.
The civic agency had previously given notices to the management of these residential projects for breaches of the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010, according to the information revealed.
RDA Director General (DG) Captain (retired) Abdul Sattar Issani has warned the general public against engaging in illegal housing schemes. Furthermore, the MP&TE Directorate will check the validity of real estate developments for both legitimate consumers and developers.
