Lahore: According to a piece of recent news, to boost the country’s position on the ease-of-doing index, the government of Punjab has decided to allow registration of property without the requirement of PT-1. The process for the issuance of stamp paper will also be automated.

Members of the public will be able to purchase stamp papers from e-khidmet centres within a few days, according to information. The government is also considering making necessary regulatory reforms to strengthen the registration process. As a result, Pakistan’s ease-of-doing-business score is predicted to increase by three points.

The government would also seek to enhance the digitization of land registry as well as the geographic information system’s process. Furthermore, the authority of e-khidmet centres will be extended so that they will offer more resources to the general population.
