PDWP approves 38 projects valuing at Rs. 16.4 billion

Peshawar: According to a recent news report, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved 38 new projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 16.4 billion. The PDWP meeting was chaired by additional chief secretary Shakil Qadir Khan.

The projects include up-gradation of Abdul Wali Khan University campus at Buner, and existing campuses in Chitral. Construction of 60 classrooms at Darul Uloom Islamia. Construction of a hall and a library at Azakhel Bala Nowshera. A rehabilitation centre of Hindu Samadhi in Banda Daud Shah. Establishment of schools for visually impaired in Mohmand and Khyber, making functional existing 105 Dastakari centres in KP, construction of special education complexes, an extension of the Prime Minister’s Ehsaas programmed to the merged areas.

Other projects include launch of interest-free microfinance schemes for entrepreneurship development in merged areas, KP women skill and entrepreneurship development programme, provision of independent electric feeders at SIEs Peshawar and Mardan, construction of mother & child care hospital in DI Khan.
