Peshawar: According to a recent news report, the 18th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held via video connection under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department Shakeel Qadir Khan.

According to an official handout, officials of the PDWP and divisions involved attended the conference.
For the uplift of the province, the forum considered 24 schemes in sports and tourism, forestry, water, health, relief and rehabilitation, multi-sectoral development, higher education, elementary and secondary education, roads, urban development, and DWSS sectors.
It authorized 21 schemes with a total expense of Rs. 24,499.505 million, while three were withheld due to shortcomings in project documents/PC-I and were sent back to the relevant department for correction.

Creation, upgrading, and reconstruction of sports facilities (AIP), Billion Tree Afforestation Project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Phase-III, rehabilitation of flood control works and irrigation channels in Swabi, outsourcing of medication and supply chain, expansion of D-Talk and Insulin for Life, and strengthening of 12 DHQ Hospitals were among the projects approved.
