Rawalpindi: According to a recent news report, Commissioner Rawalpindi Mohammad Mehmood directed the district administration to speed up the distribution of compensation amount to the people whose land has been acquired for the Ring Road project. He visited Land Record Center Rewat where he reviewed the process of transfer of lands and payment of compensation for the Rawalpindi Ring Project.

Also present on the day were Deputy Commissioner Anwarul Haq and Revenue Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shoaib. The Land Record Center has allotted the citizens impacted by the Ring Road project three days a week for the management of land transfer, purchase, and payment.
He said it was intolerable to ignore and postpone transactions and payment of payments, and the compensation process should be expedited.
Commissioner Patwaris himself is liable for the deficiencies in the registry of records of land revenue, so all these concerns should be resolved on an immediate basis and all revenue officers should make use of all the necessary services.

He said that the Ring Road project has already been delayed and practical work could not be started on it while the present government has provided a huge amount of Rs. 6 billion for the purchase of land for this project during the current financial year.
