Minister urges private sector to invest in tourism development

Islamabad: According to a recent news report, the Minister for Energy Energy Omar Ayub has urged the private sector should come forward for the development of necessary infrastructure at the tourist spots.

He said the government is putting a special focus on domestic and international tourism promotion in the country to speed up economic activities and build job opportunities while speaking at a ceremony organized by Pakistan Tourism Forum (PTF) on Sunday.

He recommended that adventure sports facilities be considered, noting that skydiving, paragliding, and mountaineering would appeal to the young.

Omar Ayub thanked the military and the private sector for their contributions to the progress of the Islamabad Tourism Festival.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, had previously called for using the vast tourism potential of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

In a meeting with parliamentarians, the PM told the provincial government of his full cooperation in promoting tourism and conserving forests to address the province’s environmental challenges.
