Lahore: In a piece of recent news, under the support of the Government of Punjab, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has announced a loan scheme for brick kiln owners in an offer to facilitate the conversion of traditional brick kilns to zigzag technology. It is a part of the provincial executive’s efforts to reduce smog levels in the province.
According to the details that have been, revealed, the Bank of Punjab (BOP), has initiated with the issuance of loans of up to Rs. 1 million to the brick kiln owners in the province. Both the BOP and PDMA have teamed up to organize training sessions for the technical staff in the cities of Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Along with setting up a District Verification Committee for monitoring and addressing inquiries concerning the project.
Brick kiln owners interested in availing the above-mentioned financing facility are requested to bring their CNIC’s at their respective Tehsil Facilitation Centers or BOP-designated Customer Facilitation Centers for online registration of applications.
