Lahore: According to a recent news report, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has asked for a report upon the details of the working relationship between the Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority (NAPHDA) and the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). Justice Shahid Karim issued the directives while presiding over a case pertaining to the underground water tables and environmental pollution.

He said the court wanted to know whether NAPHDA and LDA worked as collaborators or as individuals and asked the law officer to respond tomorrow. He also directed a review of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP) project by the environmental commission.

In addition, it was pointed out that 81.41% of brick kilns were converted to operate in Punjab under the environmentally friendly zigzag technology, while 37 kilns were sealed for the use of the old technology.
