History and Management:

Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society was established in 1980 and registered in 1981 with Islamabad Cooperative Department under the Cooperative Act 1925.

The new management of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society have taken over its responsibilities in the 1st week of June, 2008 after the elections held on 11th May 2008 and cleared by the Supreme Court of Pakistan

Projects by Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society:

  • Kashmir Model Town:

Kashmir Model Town is the first Housing Scheme of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society. The total area of Kashmir Model town consists of 3700 Kanals.

The whole land is compact and owned by the Society. All NOCs are approved and permissions are granted. This society is one the oldest projects in Islamabad and the plots were allotted before 1990.

However the development work carried out was not up to the mark, but with passage of time, the management started the repair and rehabilitation work in the Scheme and provided the basic facilities to the society.

  • G-15/f-15 (khayaban-e-kashmir):

Khayaban-e-Kashmir is one the most successful housing project in between all these projects.It consists of total 4474.48 Kanals in the G-15 and F-15 sectors of Islamabad. Its layout Plan & NOC is issued by CDA.

Development wok of housing scheme started since the issuance of NOC and 98% development work has been completed. Possessions have been given to the investors and almost 1500 houses are currently occupied by the residents in this society.

F-15 (extension):

The total area acquired for the F-15 (Extension) Scheme is nearly 1534 Kanal. Its documents has been submitted to the CDA in 2005 for approval of the LOP. The development work will start after the  approval of the LOP from the CDA.

F-16 (khayaban-e-kashmir):

Total area of Khayaban-e-kashmir Housing society consists of 2909 Kanals of land, Lay out plan and design of this sector has been approved by the CDA however the society is still waiting for the approval of NOC .

33 Kanals of land has been handed over to the IESCO for the construction of Grid station. Development Work will be started after the issuance of NOC accordingly.

Zone-v (khayaban-e-kashmir –ii):

Khayaban-e-Kashmir-II, Zone-V was launched in 2005 which was planned for 4500 allottees on total of 4000 Kanals. The Layout Plan and Engineering Designs of Khayaban-e-Kashmir-II, (Phase-I) Zone-V have been approved by the CDA.

Provisional plots numbers have been allotted to members through balloting and the work of main approach road via Zone-IV has begun. The remaining land will be purchased by the society eventually. The society is expecting its NOC from CDA after which the development work will start.

Agro Farming Scheme:

Agro Farming Scheme was launched in 2006 by the management but it did not prove out to be very successful due to non- payment of remaining installments by the members. To clean the mess created it was decided that bid of highest party was accepted by the Committee and surplus land was disposed off/transferred.

Location of Jammu & Kashmir Co-Operative Housing Society:

Jammu & Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society is located on Main Islamabad Highway in CDA Sectors G-15/F-15 of Islamabad. It is located at the northern side of Islamabad and is adjacent to Gulberg Islamabad Project. It is one of the most recognized sectors of Islamabad

Access:

It can be accessed through Taxila and Rawalpindi via Fateh Jang Road. Its main access is from the G-15, F-15 G.T Road.

Total Area:

The total covering area of this project is 4474.48 (20135160 S.q Feet) Kanal.

Project Details: 

The society is offering residential plots on possession consisting of following sizes in G-15 and F-15 sectors:

5, 7, 10 & 12 Marla to 1 & 2 Kanal plots
