Always look at the designs of other people for inspiration. Observe the spaces other people are designing, keep up with the latest trends while making the most of their interior design concepts. Take ideas from interior design magazines and interior design sites as people share their designs for inspirational purposes.
5- Take your TIME
One of the major components of interior design is to take your sweet time, don’t rush the process, when designing your home don’t have a tight schedule.
It doesn’t need to be done or overnight. Rushing this process and filling your house with things which you are not happy with will be an unsuccessful project.
Understand that you are not a professional interior designer so don’t put strain on yourself to have a design in a short time. Getting the right design is more important than getting it done quickly.
6- Fuse your PERSONALITY
You need to design your home with rooms that reflect your personality and taste. The home needs to look like it belongs to you, whether you are a cool & collected person or someone full of life you need to evoke your creativity and personality into designing. In that light come up with a list of 5 words describing your space and then take it from there-DIY.
7- Focus on THE DETAILS-DIY
Detailing is the key; they make a huge difference, whether that’s the style of the curtains, the type of flooring, or a handcrafted piece of furniture. Little details bring a room together and are another of the fundamentals of interior design.
Dedicate time to realizing the details of every room in your house. Things like matching the colors or a complementary pattern can all make a huge difference.
Look out for quality products and put thought into where they are going to be placed as these details will make all the difference in the end.
It does not matter if you are not a professional; it’s important that you follow your instincts and let your creativity flow throughout the process of interior designing.
Experimenting is the key; do not hesitate to play with the different designs and placement of the things. In the end achieving your desired feel & design is all that matters so keep working towards that goal.
