Groundbreaking expected of Sheikhupura-Gujranwala Road

Karachi: According to recent news sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan was expected to perform the groundbreaking of the Sheikhupura-Gujranwala Road project.

According to the details shared, the project is being developed with an estimated cost of Rs.5 billion. It is a very important project has it will be connecting the two major industrial cities of the country, Sheikhupura and Gujranwala. In addition, a private firm will be established to maintain the road for the next 25 years or so.

Furthermore, this road project will span over a land of 43 kilometres, being developed under a public-private partnership model. According to the sources PM Imran Khan had been on a long-day visit to the city of Lahore, where important decisions were made in a summit that was held, which was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, and other concerned officials.
