While passing these temporary orders, the court also directed the FWO and other concerned authorities to submit their response. According to details revealed, a petition was filed by the residents of Bahria Town who stated that they have to pay Rs. 50 in toll tax at both entry and exit points.
It was highlighted that thousands of Bahria Town Karachi residents – even those who are only visiting facilities nearby – have to pay the toll. They requested the SHC bench to exempt them from paying the said tax. The court has restricted the toll collection and sought response from FWO and others.
