Toba Tek Singh: On Tuesday, a fire in a godown on Samundri Road in Gojra reduced millions of rupees worth of cotton to ashes.
Muhammad Adnan, a cotton broker, had stocked cotton in a leased warehouse where the fire began due to a short circuit, according to Rescue 1122. The fire took several hours to put out, and in the meantime, much of the stock had been destroyed.

Besides, after a one-month wait, the Gojra City police registered a case against a man for burning his own house in Bihari Colony on Tuesday.
Sidra Bibi alleged in her first complaint that her parents had given her a home and that after a quarrel, her husband Muhammad Ashraf poured petrol on the house and set it on fire. The perpetrator is yet to be apprehended.
