Islamabad: According to a report published on the 22nd of January, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has accelerated the inquiry on the alleged illegal allotment of seven residential plots by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

The illegal plots are located in the sectors I-11 and I-12 of Islamabad and have been under rapid pace for inquiries while the CDA concerned officials are being interviewed by the premier investigation agency.

The issued of the 7 residential plots arose in August of the previous year. The files were seized by the CDA security directorate, minutes before the issuance of allocation letters from the one-window operation centre of the civic agency. The security directorate organized an investigation that revealed the files carried backdated signatures.
