Lower Dir: Residents of an open katcheri in Balambat raised a plethora of problems, according to a recent news article, mainly prolonged power outages, roadside invasions, sales of contrabands, bad cleanliness situation in bazaars, dilapidated condition of Kamrani road, inflated electricity bills, etc.
Aun Haider Gondal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), chaired the event at the district assembly hall, Balmabat. Public inquiries were also answered on the occasion by Timergara assistant commissioner Tahir Ali, DHO Dr. Nazeer Ahmad, TMOs and heads of line departments.

The area elders, including Imran Takur, Maulana Nabi Shah, advocate Alam Zeb, also highlighted the issues of difficulties in getting gas connections, the imposition of withholding tax, irregularities in the NTS tests for teachers’ recruitment and delay in construction of bypass roads in Talash and Chakdara.
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said that all these issues would be assigned to the relevant departments through the Citizen Portal as per the direction of the provincial government. The heads of line departments were also directed to resolve the people’s issues.
