Lahore: In a recent announcement, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has taken the incentives for investors interested in developing educational institutes in the city.

Under the LDA Land Use Rules 2020, investors can apply for the authority’s approval for construction of primary, higher secondary, college and university institutions. The regulations further allow construction of preschool on 19-Marla land with the 30-foot wide road; construction of a primary school on a 1-Kanal land area with the 30-foot wide road; construction of a higher secondary school on 4-Kanal land area and 40-foot wide road.

Moreover, it was announced that to promote business activity, the minimum width of the road will be 20 feet for Sheikupura, Kasur and Nankana Sahib tehsils. The no-objection requirement (NOC) for the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) has been waived off as well.
