Karachi: According to a source, the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) on Tuesday issued an Environmental Protection Order (EPO to halt the construction of a building on Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Karachi Phase-VIII.

According to the details revealed, the advancement firm concerned has been served this EPO over its inability to present the ecological effect appraisal (EIA) report to the specialists concerned. The firm was required to present its reaction on not consenting to the SEPA Act, 2014.

SEPAÂ Director-General Naeem Ahmed Mughal revealed that since the company has not submitted its documents, the construction work of the building on Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue in DHA is restricted until the environmental approval is granted to the project.
