Islamabad: After undertaking a six-month cycle of domestic operations, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is expected to approve new airlines to operate international flights.
According to details, the aviation authority has prepared suggestions to be submitted to higher authorities for the allowance under the Aviation Policy 2021; however, approval will be granted based on efficiency, regulatory, and punctuality.
According to local media sources, airlines would be required to operate domestic flights on socio-economic routes such as Sukkur, Bahawalpur, and other cities before being allowed to operate on international routes.
It’s worth noting that the CAA has also launched TPRI licences to promote tourism and the aviation industry, as well as to make it easier for airlines to operate in the region.
