Azad Jammu and Kashmir PM lays foundation stone of mini dam in Mirpur

Mirpur: According to a recent news report, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has commenced the construction of a mini dam and flow metering system, placing the foundation stone to start the project which is at a cost of Rs. 862 million.

At the ceremony, Mr. Haider Khan addressed the reporters, assuring that the government has given the mini dam the highest priority, with construction expected to be finished within two years of the deadline. He also reported that the city experienced an increase in temperature and a water shortage as a result of the Neelum Jhelum initiative.

The AJK prime minister has also stated that the construction project will help in reducing the scarcity of water in the city for the very reason. The foregoing project will be finished on budget and to the best quality possible. Furthermore, the premier claimed that, in addition to enhancing the water supply, the dam project would improve tourism.
