Lahore: In a recent report, on January 19th, the concerned authorities recently established an anti-land grabbing cell to address land grab troubles in the city. Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar expressed his views on the matter during a press briefing.

He stated that the ‘Anti-Qabza Mafia Cell’ had been set up on the recommendations of a committee, recently notified by the Punjab government, including of representatives from the police, revenue, LDA, Overseas Pakistanis Commission and co-operative departments.
He asked land grab affecters to reach out to the authorities through the helpline 1242. Also adding that the cell facility will provide immediate assistance to the citizens. He said that the Lahore Police had arrested as many as 300 individuals on land grab charges.
