Lahore: According to a recent news report, there have been 4,145 Kanals of state land identified for the construction of affordable housing units in the city of Lahore. The concerned authority has allocated seven spots for the housing projects under Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP).

According to details revealed, the land identified includes:
- 1000 Kanals in Mohlanwal-1
- 2,000 Kanals in Mohlanwal-2
- 1,000 Kanals in Kamahan
- 54 Kanals in Harbanspura-1
- 26 Kanals in Harbanspura-2
- 30 Kanals at Thokar Niaz Beg-1
- 35 Kanals in Thokar Niaz Beg-2
The land booked for NPHP developments belongs to the Liquidation Board and the Chief Settlement Commission. The concerned departments will begin with the land acquisition process following Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar’s approval.
