20,000 Kanals of state land retrieved in Islamabad by CDA, ICTA

Islamabad: In a piece of recent news published, under the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the capital administration performed a grand-scale operation, where 20,000 Kanals of state land has been retrieved from land grabbers.

According to the report submitted by the Deputy Commissioner’s office, an anti-encroachment operation for state land in Islamabad was accomplished in most of the areas in the city by the combined efforts of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA).

In the report, it was stated that an ample amount of land located in sectors E-11, E-12, I-14, I-15, I-16, Khanna Pul, Tarnol, Expressway, Karal Chowk, Bhara Kahu, Bahria Enclave, Srinagar Highway, Mouza Sinyarai, Mohra Noor, right of way of Korang River, Kot Hathiyal, Phulgran, Shahpur, and Malata was retrieved.

During the procedure, the officials removed encroachments from a five-kilometre strip around the railway interchange. Furthermore, a committee was also formed to verify land ownership claims of the local population.
